They say don’t blink. I truly thought I kept my eyes wide open for these past 6 years. But the inevitable happened. I closed my eyes for just a second and in the blink of an eye 6 years came and went. Today you graduated. This post is a thank you to my daughter as you graduate elementary school. A thank you for letting me hold your hand so tightly through every grade, every memory, every disappointment and every triumph.

How can I not document such a huge milestone? Friends we did it! After 6 1/2 years since launching House of Leo Blog I finally hit 100K Instagram followers (ok maybe we are a tad over now lol)! Just wanted to take a moment to say thank you because without all of you this would never have been possible.

I say we did it because you all helped me get here. Some of you have been here from the beginning when Erik and I had no idea what we were doing.

Finally recapping Summer’s 11th groovy hippie birthday party! This was such a fun theme. I mean all her past parties have been so fun to do but think we really enjoyed this one this year! Definitley felt more tween like and less little girl like. As always, my mom, Erik and I executed the party planning and today we will share how this groovy hippie birthday party came to life!

Like with any business owner I set goals and changes at the beginning of each year and we CRUSHED it this year. More on that later. Our little Summer turned 10 over the weekend. Cannot even believe she is a decade old. As big of a birthday this was Summer wanted a small get together with her closest friends but that didn’t stop her party planning mama from putting together a sweet birthday to remember. Clearly been living in the new puppy bliss this past week. It’s taken me a full week to even get the chance to sit down and write this post. The news is out though friends! Our trip to Nashville wasn’t only for fun but it was a true puppymoon. We flew out to Tennessee so we could welcome home Gemstar’s Jesse Styles. Today I’m finally sharing our journey to get him.

It may have been a shock to many to see we got a Golden Retriever but this was sort of always the plan.

Nervous. Excited. Scared. Brave. Ambitious. Clueless. Pretty much sums up exactly how I was feeling the day I hit publish on my very first blog post. House of Leo Blog turns 5 years old today! I thought I would take today’s post back to the very place it all started. Took me awhile to get brave enough to shoot anywhere other than those front steps, but once I left those steps look where it took me.

I’ll try not to get too sappy with my Mother’s Day message but you know me. Every once in awhile I’ll get a tad vulnerable and open up about things other than fashion. Emma Angelica 2/14/2007 to 2/25/2022

The greatest chapter of my life came to an end on the morning of February 25, 2022. The chapter of Benny and Emma better known as B&E has closed with the passing of my Emma Angelica. Nothing and I mean nothing can prepare you for that take your breath away, bring you to your knees kind of pain that comes with pet loss. Not even losing her brother over 2 years ago.

Two things we love in this house — ShopRite and golf. So when my favorite brand invited us to spend the weekend with them at this year’s LPGA tournament it was a no brainer. Bringing you our ShopRite LPGA Classic weekend recap of what we did and of course highlighting all the great brands and products we got to test out while we were there.
