What a trip to Nashville we had! Granted we came home with the best surprise ever (read more about that here). I’ve gone to Nashville before but I truly fell in love with the city this time. Both Erik and I said we would consider retiring there one day. The vibe was amazing and if there is one city where everyone gets into the fashion it’s Nash! Had so much fun planning out outfit ideas for Nashville.

It was in that very exact moment above that my 41 adult self was transformed back into a little girl. That’s what Disney does to us. No matter how old you are, no matter how many times you’ve gone — the fairy dust gets into our soul the moment we step into the most magical place in the world. I had been putting Disney off for years. Does that make me a bad mom? I had my reasons. First off when I think of a vacation I want to relax. Think swimming, laying in a lounge chair with a fruity drink. It’s also really expensive to go to Disney. The parks, the food — it all adds up. My last reason for putting it off is the fact that Summer wasn’t exactly blessed in the height department.

When I think about the holidays a few things come to mind. Family time, comfort food, honoring traditions and of course spending time in the greatest city in the world. NYC! Still dreaming about those blue ocean waters. Erik and I have been to Grand Cayman before and we couldn’t wait to get back there as it’s one of the most beautiful islands in the Caribbean. White sandy beaches, turquoise waters and the nicest people ever. Our last trip we stayed at The Ritz Carlton but were excited to try someplace new. And we are back! Had a beautiful vacation with my lil squad. We are tanned, relaxed and totally refreshed. I didn’t shoot a ton of looks while away because most of us are wearing cold weather gear from here on out, but I did shoot 2 looks for the blog that have skirts that can be worn all year. This all season snakeskin skirt that I wore in Grand Cayman is an absolute stunner!

Still on vacay over here but thought it would be helpful to share with you some of my travel beauty favorites that I packed with me on this trip. I try to simplify my beauty regimen when traveling because for one I’m on vacay so I don’t need a ton of product. I also want items that are good for sun and humidity. Think SPF and volume for hair. AND I want items to compliment that tan.
