Finally doing the big reveal of Summer’s boho chic tween bedroom. Ironically sharing this on the day she begins 5th grade. So bittersweet. Excited for her to be growing up but sad seeing the little girl start to fade away. This was the summer she was finally ready to transition her bedroom. While today I’m revealing her new room, it’s also the reveal of a new chapter in our life. The next stage. So long little girl and hello to the tween era.

Well think I can officially say that after 9 years of working on our home it’s finally done! We just wrapped up working on final projects inside as well as completing the siding, roof and windows. This summer we wanted to enjoy our yard more than ever as things have been so hectic. After getting the yard ready we realized our yard needed some sprucing. I MOVED OUT! Ok, ok. Not out of the house. I moved out of the walk in closet. Well just about. It’s a process people. But I did get an upgrade in closet space and today I’m revealing my DIY closet room makeover with a tour, the design layout, what we used and why exactly we did it.

Finally bringing you our transitional style foyer reveal. Talk about a project! Initially we thought renovating the foyer was just going to be a small project but it ended up being a big ordeal. It changed the feel of the entire house but boy was it stressful.

I’ve been on full on organization mode these past weeks. We have been tackling so many home projects and with the start of 2021 I’ve made it a priority to live a more organized life. My latest weekend project was the pantry and so many of you watched my stories and voted to see how to organize your pantry on a budget. I’m no queen of home organization but personally I think our transformation came out great and the best part was I did it all on a small budget!

This might actually be the 3rd time we’ve painted the interior of the house in the almost 9 years we have been here. What can I say? I love changing the house around just like I love changing my fashion. We have a TON of home projects in the works but first up was painting. The easiest way to change a room is to paint it. I just wanted to freshen things up so today I’m bringing you our home makeover using Chantilly Lace paint from Benjamin Moore.

New Year. New bedroom. Well sort of. Erik and I have been married for 12 years but the one thing we never got was a new bedroom set. We have each added pieces to the room that were passed on from family members and a few years ago we did get a new king size bed. However, nothing really matched. We really didn’t want to do a complete bedroom overhaul as we have sentimental attachment to a few pieces but we wanted to do a master bedroom refresh.

So here’s a little secret about me that actually isn’t actually a secret. When I started HOLB my intentions were to share not only fashion and beauty but also share my love of home decor. Over the past 2 and 1/2 years I haven’t shared as much home content as I would have liked but that’s all changing today.
