EXHAUSTED! Just got home from the second dance competition of the season for Summer. Long drive and full day but she did great. That kid loves the stage! Also can you believe today marks the 4 year blogiversary for HOLB! No big post this year but crazy how my life has changed since I hit publish this very day 4 years ago. I’ll get to the shorts and sandals in a few but let’s kick off my May Target finds with this gorgeous kimono. Adore the robe style and colors on this one.
SHORTS (WEARING 4) | TOP (WEARING SMALL) | SANDALS
OK these shorts are my top pick in my May Target finds. $15 but worth so much more. Still girls — we will gladly take the $15 LOL. In between mid rise and high rise, great light wash and have a decent stretch to them. The length is also perfect. They do run small though. Go up 1 size for a more relaxed fit. The top is also a cute one that plays homage to both the eyelet and ruffle sleeve trend. Material is a light linen type and comes in a few colors.
PANTS (WEARING XS) | CHAMBRAY (WEARING MEDIUM) | TANK | SANDALS
To be honest I’m on the fence about the pants. They totally remind me of MC Hammer pants and are very 80s, BUT that is cool again so I’m going with it. They are a fun summer statement pant though. Gauzy material, pockets and cinched waist and ankle. Size down as they are very roomy. Also my tank and chambray top are both Target and I highly recommend both. The chambray was a top seller for me last year and it’s still in stock this year! One of my fav button downs of all time.
SHORT SLEEVE SWEATSHIRT (WEARING MEDIUM) | SHORTS | SANDALS
If you didn’t scoop up a short sleeve sweatshirt yet or are just looking to wear the trend but not spend a lot this is a good $20 option. It’s not as soft as my Nordstrom one but it’s still comfy. Just size up in it as the sleeves are tighter and the bottom is banded.
DEF LEPPARD TEE (WEARING XS) | SHORTS | SANDALS | BAG
Definitely didn’t need another band tee but the colors sold me! Super soft too for a Target tee. Runs big so I’d suggest sizing down.

Let’s talk about the bag. Surprisingly it’s another top pick in my May Target finds. I haven’t showed many bags in my Target hauls but lately I’ve been rounding up all of Target’s summer bags in my Trending 5 boards. So many cute ones right now. Love this boho style. It’s got a ton of room for all your essentials and while the strap is long I just knotted it on the top to make it shorter.
SANDALS
Closing out my May Target finds with the cutest sandals. Didn’t need another pair of flat sandals but I just couldn’t resist this pair. That pinstripe bow detail was just too cute to pass up. Run TTS.
