Come February I start getting sick of the boots I’ve worn on repeat all through November, December and January. We are nowhere near spring weather yet so we can’t retire our boots anytime soon. It’s usually this time of year that I’ll buy another pair to get me through the cold, depressing months of February and March. This year I decided to expand my shoe palette and get a style I haven’t tried yet. So welcome to my closet OTK (over the knee) boots!
So a few reasons I haven’t gotten OTK boots prior to now. First, I’m only 5’2 and all the ones I’ve tried in the past literally ate me up and made me look even shorter.
TIP: When looking for OTK boots for petites get ones that mold to your thigh. They shouldn’t be wide at the top. They have some that tie at the top too. When they mold to your leg from top to bottom they make you look leaner and taller.
The other reason I didn’t buy OTK boots yet was I always thought they were uncomfortable. They would slide down your leg. They would be too high of a heel. They were too heavy around your legs. These are definitely true for many of them, BUT I found the perfect pair.
These Vince Camuto boots are insane. I’m not even kidding when I say I could wear these babies all day and night. The heel is low. They don’t slide down your leg at all and they come in a few colors. Vince Camuto is usually one of my go to brands for shoes because his quality is great and most of his shoes are comfortable for me. He definitely hit it out of the park with this pair.
I’m so obsessed with winter whites and neutrals right now. You saw me style winter pastels in this post last week and winter whites in this post. Love neutrals this time of year just because they transition into spring so nicely. White pants paired with grays, creams and ivories –so pretty!
