It’s a little early for spring fever but the random warm days we are having is getting me a bit itchy for spring! I’m not at all ready to retire my sweaters (check back with me in March when I want to toss them all) but I have been finding myself looking for softer pastel colors to incorporate into my wardrobe. Loving pieces in lavender, mint and pale pinks right now. This sweater you’ve seen on the blog before in this post but I absolutely fell in love with this minty shade.
Easy ways to lighten up your winter look is with pastel shades for your sweaters. I also scooped up this one this week. It should be on the blog in the next week or so. How pretty is that purple?! But back to this one that I’m wearing — I told you I had this turtleneck in multiple colors. Just love the fit of it and all the color options. For $35 you can’t go wrong. I go back and forth between small and medium in this one. For size reference I’m wearing a small this time around. It also comes in a pale pink.
Another way to soften up your winter look is by swapping out your darker denim for lighter denim. I love washed out jeans in winter especially when paired with softer tops.
You can also ditch the black shoes and go with gray or taupe. I haven’t worn these on here in awhile. Still love all that embellishment!
And my last suggestion for getting spring ready but staying warm for winter is just to change out your accessories. Think similar pink hats, lighter scarves, colorful jewelry and gray handbags.
A big thank you for all the birthday love this week. I loved all the messages and so glad you all enjoyed reading about me. In case you missed it you can read my birthday post and find out 38 things about me here.
I’ll end this post with a thank you to Molly Sue Photography for the photos in this post. Molly was a dream to work with. Adorable, sweet and her work is amazing. The weddings she has shot are absolutely dreamy!
XO!
