Hi friends! First I have to start this post off with a huge thank you to all those who read and shared my Santa is Real Post. To date it is my most read and shared post and to know that so many were touched by the story makes me so happy. If you missed the post you can read it here. My hope when I wrote that post was to bring something inspirational, something emotional, something enlightening to your news feed which seems to be clouded by so much negativity these days. So thank you. Thank you for sharing our story.
So back to fashion! While holiday shopping did anyone notice that velvet is trending? Velvet pants, tops, sweaters, blazers. It’s everywhere and I gotta admit that I LOVE IT!
Nothing is more luxe and adds instant chic than velvet. I actually scooped up a few velvet camis when shopping and I love them worn under a cardigan. They add instant holiday festiveness and also keep you looking very wintery. Last year I was hooked on faux leather leggings and I thought nothing could replace my love for them until I found velvet leggings. I got 2 pairs this season. One from Express and this pair from Nordstrom. The fit of the Express ones for me were less fitted throughout the leg. (Express also has petite fit which I linked at the end of the post) So if you are looking for a looser fit I’d go with the Express ones. The ones I’m wearing here I’m in a size small for size reference.
I think I’ve told you about my love of moto jackets by BLANKNYC before. This one is fitted for a chic look but roomy enough to wear a sweater underneath. And for those that love BLANKNYC they are having a sale on this suede moto jacket that is a top seller for Nordstrom!
And how cute is this hooded sweater by Love by Design? Love the high low hem. I think it’s adorable paired with jeans and UGGS or dressed up a bit like I did here.
