Here’s a fashion trivia for ya. What’s an item in your closet that you break out at the first sign of fall and don’t put away until the absolute end of winter? You wear them layered, alone, to bed? You could borrow your husband’s version and it would totally be adorable? (ok I’m not that great at creating trivia questions obviously lol) Yup it’s the good ol flannel shirt. Classic, warm, comfy and total closet necessity.
Most of my flannels have been in my closet for a good 6 years and think pretty much all of them came from Abercrombie. I don’t iron. I’m serious. I DON’T IRON soooo when buying flannels I make sure they are well made so I can wash, dry, wear. I know, I know. My generation is so lazy, but I’ve made it this far without ironing I’m gonna keep going with it LOL.
The one I’m wearing is old but linking in the widget below lots of flannel options for you AND many are on sale!
Love flannels worn alone, layered under a vest or a cardigan as I styled it here. Speaking of cardigans. This one is sooo good! Super soft and great for everyday styling. Quite possibly my most favorite cardi in my closet. It’s oversized but not so chunky you can’t be comfortable in it. It’s just such a relaxed fit. I wore this on the plane to Mexico and it was perfect!
Have you noticed the boot cuffs I’ve been wearing lately? I started wearing these a few years back with my Dr. Martens. Love them this year with Sperry boots too. They are a cuff that goes around your leg to look like a sock but they have socks that can give you this same look too. Grace and Lace has so many cute options and their pieces are always well made. Hats, ponchos, scarves, great site! I discovered them years ago on Shark Tank and I’ve been a faithful customer ever since. You can also see them styled with my Sperry boots in this post.
SO I’m officially on Christmas break for the next few days! Let’s go 4pm! I honestly have a million things to tackle over the next few days, but can’t wait. It’s my favorite time of year! If all goes well I will have a Christmas Home Tour post out this Friday. Trying to get it wrapped up by the weekend!
Enjoy the rest of your week!
XO!
