Hello friends! We are back home and it is freezing out. The wind is crazy! Erik and I had the best time in Mexico and soon I’ll have a full review of our stay in Punta Mita. Poor Summer was sick the ENTIRE week we were away. Such timing. She was in good care though with her grandparents but it’s so nice to be back home with her.
After spending a week in bikinis and sundresses I am trying hard to get back into the winter clothes mindset. So I thought this look would be light and airy because it’s all about winter whites. The old rule of no white after Labor Day? Throw that one out the window. Winter whites when done right is so timeless and refreshing.
A couple rules to pulling off this look:
- If you are going to wear white pants (mine are from the summer) just pair it with a heavier sweater or heavier fabrics. These leggings I have in 3 colors and they are my absolute favorite brand for moto leggings. Just size up as they run small.
2. No open toe shoes. Even though some outfits call for open toe shoes or peep toe booties I would suggest wearing closed toe booties. I got these boots right before we left for Mexico and seriously I AM IN LOVE! These pictures don’t do them justice. I love the embellishments on them and the color is actually a taupe but depending on what you are wearing they can also look gray. Such a nice neutral color. They come in black too.

3. Add a wintery scarf or a faux fur vest.

My sweater is from Express and they have such great sweaters this year! Always a great spot for finding affordable sweaters that touch on trendy but aren’t over the top. I absolutely love the back detail on this one.

I rounded up a few others that I am currently loving from Express below.

Feels good to be back! Happy Thanksgiving week friends!
XO!
