Two items. Flannels and Hunter Boots. That’s all you need for an outing to the pumpkin patch. When you look back at your family photos years later you’ll thank me. Nothing screams October like this winning combo. This outfit has all the country girl vibes and it’s so easy to recreate. 
We usually go pumpkin picking earlier in October so we can enjoy the pumpkins and mums that we perfectly pick for the front porch a little longer, BUT this crazy fall heat hasn’t exactly made me excited for a day in the patch. Call me crazy but I literally watch the weather everyday hoping for a cool weekend so we could layer up and get out there. Does everyone do this or only the fashion obsessed? LOL! I guess I just get a little too excited to break out these items every year for our annual day at the pumpkin patch.
I think you have pretty much figured out that I shop (a lot haha) at mostly the same stores. Quality, fit and pricing are what draw me back to my favorite stores and Abercrombie has always been one of them. For years I have bought my flannels from there. They hold up ladies! I literally have some that are 10 years old that still are in my rotation. There’s something about their cotton too that you don’t have to iron them and I’m all about that because I loathe ironing (sorry Mom). This one is a few years old but here’s a bunch that are similar.
My Hunter boots and I have had many years together. These simple boots have such character. I love them with jeans, leggings and so cute even with dresses. You can’t go wrong with black but they have so many other cute colors now. Short or tall ones, love them all. This post features my short ones that I got this year.
A little fashion tip for the little ones…if you are like me and can’t bring yourself to splurge on UGGS for kids I can’t rave enough about Bear Paw. They are so much more reasonable and the same quality as UGGS in my opinion. I’ve been putting Summer in these for years. Just spray them with suede cleaner before the first use and they will last. It’s also nice having a daughter who grows so slowly that she gets 2 seasons out of her shoes LOL! These babies last!
