I’ll start off with apologizing to those that aren’t into the maxi romper look because this is the second one I’m featuring this week. Good news though! I don’t have anymore in my closet or on my wishlist which means you won’t see another on the blog anytime soon! Also apologies for the quality of these pictures. We had to shoot during the afternoon (not ideal for lighting) because Erik had to get to work so the lighting is too bright. #hubbyworksnightshift
In comparing this maxi romper to the one featured in this post from Monday, this one is much more casual because there is no wrap feature over it. I loved the colors in this one though so I couldn’t resist. I went with my favorite, go to, worn too many times block heel but flat sandals would look perfect too.
I know a lot of people were shocked to find both maxi rompers were from Charlotte Russe. You just never know what you might find in these teeny bopper stores! Let’s face it, we can’t always splurge on everything and I try super hard not to over spend on trendy pieces. Stores like Charlotte Russe, Forever 21, H&M were made for this reason! And in case you are embarrassed to walk into these stores (which by the way you should never be embarrassed!) I tend to do much better shopping these stores online anyway. I find it much easier to filter what I’m looking for and not deal with racks and racks of clothes. Moral of my story, don’t rule these stores out! You can really pick up some great pieces that won’t break the bank!
So now onto what I call Christmas in July. Take a break and grab a glass of water if you need one. I’ll try not to make this too long and complicated! Unless you were living under a rock this week then you know Tuesday was Amazon Prime Day. So many great deals! However, I feel like that sale is just the warm up to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale which kicks off TODAY for Nordstrom cardholders. As you are reading this blog post I am scrolling like a maniac through the sale. For those that don’t know the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is where NEW fall items are put out at deeply discounted prices. Big designers are featured. Last year I got a Tory Burch bag at like 40% off! Unlike most sales where the store is trying to get rid of inventory, this sale puts out NEW fall inventory highly discounted but prices go back up on August 7th. I call this sale the SHOP NOW/WEAR LATER sale. Get those winter boots, sweaters and coats NOW!

Hi! Happy Monday! It’s back to work and daycare for all us today. Had the best week off with my little family, but I have to say I’m anxious to get back into a routine. While I enjoy time off I truly love to work. Having a career pushes me to succeed, set goals and reach them and I think that provides the best example for Summer. I guess it’s just my personality to constantly push myself. I do it with work, my workouts and this blog. I’m very regimented, focused and driven when I find things I love to do. Guess that’s not a bad thing. Sure there are plenty of times I wish I could stay home and do all the things that come with that but at the end of the day it’s just not me. I just have to remind myself to slow down once in awhile and take in the everyday and that’s exactly what I did this past week.
So before I get into the work week grind let’s talk about this look. Once upon a time a maxi dress and a romper got married and had a baby. And here is what it looks like:
For those that don’t know a romper is a one piece outfit that has shorts. The shorts are pretty hidden because of the wrap feature of the maxi dress. You can easily move the opening over to show a sexy slit or you can keep it closed for a more kimono dress look. Three things I love: maxi dresses, rompers and kimonos. This one has it all!
Loved the price point of this 
I loved this dress so much that I did buy a second which is a similar style yet different. My plan is to feature that one in Thursday’s post. There were just too many photos to put both looks in one post. With a trip in November coming up it’ll be hard to find summer dresses if I wait to shop. These will both be perfect for where we are going. #earlyplanning

This is the perfect outfit for those summer BBQs and if you have a last minute date night like I did the other night. I put one on with wedges and ripped jeans and was ready in 10 minutes! Um ok my makeup took longer but the outfit part took only 10 minutes LOL. It is totally my no fail top. In times of rushing you cannot go wrong with a
