Anyone else drawn to the boho look? You know the cutoff shorts, flowy tops and gladiator sandals finished off with turquoise and gold bangles? It’s one of my favorite summer looks. So easy, carefree and screams summer. Let’s face it though, we can’t wear that look unless we are going to a BBQ, concert, etc. For those of you that work all summer (like me) you might feel limited with what you can wear all week. While I am lucky enough to work in an office where I don’t have to wear a suit and if I pair it right I can wear jeans with a dressier top I still like to incorporate my love of boho pieces into my summer work wardrobe.
This flowy top is an older piece but I break it out ever summer. I have worn it over long maxi dresses and I’ll pair with pants for work. I wore my favorite block heels and it totally became work appropriate. This top isn’t available anymore but I linked ones that are very similar and would accomplish this same look. For those days you just don’t feel like doing your hair throw in a loose side braid to complete the look like I did here.
Other ways to pull off boho for work is wearing a kimono with pants and heels or wedges. You can do a flowy dress with a kimono, denim vest or cardigan over it. I used to be that girl who had weekend clothes and work clothes. Don’t divide your closet into casual vs work. You can truly mix and match to get more use out of your clothes. I used to feel so limited with what I should wear to work. Honestly, if you look polished, ironed and carry confidence with your outfit you can 99% of the time pull the look off!
