Surprise! Look who’s making a guest appearance on the blog! My little loves Benny and Emma and I are are bundled up in this Evereve red plaid coat and we couldn’t be any cozier.
I originally was on the fence about this red plaid coat only because I didn’t know it was too long on my frame but after showing it in a try on I gave it a second thought and was so glad I did. It literally has become my new go to coat for running around.
This is a cross between a heavy top and a lightweight coat which makes it perfect for a jacket to throw on when you go shopping and don’t want to lug around a heavy coat. Anyone else get SO hot when they’re shopping? Heavy sweaters are too bulky, coats are a no go so this red plaid coat is an absolute closet essential.
It looks great with casual boots but I did try it on with OTK boots and thought it looked cute dressed up too. That’s another reason why I love Evereve so much. Their clothes are all so versatile and you can style their pieces so many different ways.Ā This head to toe Evereve look honestly has all my favorites. The jeans, boots, hat, tee — all of it gets worn on repeat!
Total gift alert with this red plaid coat. I have not seen this coat plastered everywhere which makes it a great gift. Heck I would love if this was gifted under my Christmas tree! It also comes in a yellow plaid too.
And in case you missed it I also featured 2 other Evereve looks in this blog post! Evereve is killing it this winter. SO much good stuff!
So this was a last minute decision to put the pups in these photos but I’m so glad we did. Erik and I picked them up from the groomers and we were going to drop them back off at home but they were all dazzled up and I rarely get both of them in photos together. Shooting with Summer isn’t always easy but try 2 dogs! Not easy!
I’m so happy we did these photos though. They are both just about 12 years old now and while Emma still acts very much like a puppy I can tell my Benjamin is slowing down. He’s blind in one eye, has no teeth and sleeps a lot.
These 2 were mine and Erik’s first babies together. They weren’t his choice in dog breeds but having a maltese since I was a little girl he knew how much I loved them. Never thought we would have 2 dogs but they were destined to be together. So very bonded and attached to each other which is so sweet but often makes me sad for when one crosses over to the Rainbow Bridge I know the other will have a broken heart.
I didn’t mean for this post to get all sappy but I just look at these 2 and have such love for them. Forever my little shadows, always by my side (in the bathroom, in bed, in my office), and always under my feet. I pray for many, many, many, many more years together with them. Love your pets my friends. They are such gifts from God.
