Two things we love in this house — ShopRite and golf. So when my favorite brand invited us to spend the weekend with them at this year’s LPGA tournament it was a no brainer. Bringing you our ShopRite LPGA Classic weekend recap of what we did and of course highlighting all the great brands and products we got to test out while we were there.
Before we dive into the fun of the weekend I just want to highlight what makes this event so special. Sure we get to watch the best women in golf battle it out on the course and wow was that exciting to see. But did you know that ShopRite is the proud sponsor of the ShopRite LPGA Classic? Over the years, ShopRite has donated over 37 million dollars to local charities and I was able to see firsthand the beneficiaries who received those donations this year. So many amazing charities were presented with grants at this year’s charity luncheon. To see how much involvement ShopRite has in their community stores and how much they give back was truly remarkable and emotional.
That luncheon really set the tone for the rest of the ShopRite LPGA Classic weekend. Golfers came together. Families came together. And one of the greatest brands I’ve ever worked with came together.
So now that I’m getting all teary eyed thinking about the weekend let’s get into the fun stuff because there is a lot of FUN to chat about! This was my 3rd press trip with ShopRite (you can read about my past trips here and here) and I think I’ve recapped every trip on my blog. Reason being — there are always so many takeaways from these trips. I try old brands with new products. I try new brands and discover great new products. And you know I’m in the business of sharing so gotta share those products with you! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve tried something at a ShopRite getaway, brought it home and it’s become a staple in our house!
Coca-Cola we all know it right? But did you know they now have Coke with Coffee? Don’t knock it till you try it. Coke with Coffee contains Brazilian coffee, tastes like a coke but has a hint of coffee. Comes in 3 base flavors and there are even 2 zero sugar flavors. Gotta be honest, I’m not a soda drinker but these I loved. Erik especially loved them!
So yup you can have your Coke with Coffee as a midday pick me up or they are totally suitable for breakfast. Obviously not for kids because we all know these little humans run on pure natural caffeine LOL.
But don’t worry. Summer found plenty to eat for breakfast at the ShopRite LPGA Classic. One being the new General Mills’ Nature Valley Soft Baked Muffin Bars. Most mornings we are running out the door and grabbing something to go. These bars are like muffins minus the mess! Win win! They come in 3 flavors and even have 8g of whole grains per serving. Personally, I loved the Yoplait Power Bowls. Made with an infusion of vitamins D, A,C, E & Zinc they help support and boost your immune system. Think we can all use that right now. Loved that they have chia seeds in it too. All I’ve been eating for breakfast since we got home! Loved all 3 flavors but the cherry pomegranate is definitely my fav.
Once we were fueled for the day it was time to hit the golf course. We got private lessons from a women’s golf pro and I gotta tell ya — Summer was driving that ball straight and far.
Granted Erik bought her clubs last year and he’s been teaching her but I think this weekend really established her interest in golf. It was truly so sweet to watch them play and bond over golf together.
Of course all that golfing we had to stay hydrated. I discovered two new drinks at the ShopRite LPGA Classic. Smart Water + is always a favorite in our house but now they have 3 new flavors. Clarity (Ginseng + Green tea), Renew (Dandelion + Lemon) and Tranquility (Ashwagandha + Tangerine). It has electrolytes for crisp taste and no sweeteners or sugars. Love the lightly infused flavor from these herbal extracts!
Ok here’s a new discovery that will 100% become a new staple in our fridge. If you know me then you know pretty much all I drink are sparkling waters. I’ve tried every brand out there. AHA is a new one for me but it passed the taste test and the flavors are amazing. No sweeteners, no calories and no sodium. Get a little crazy and mix these with vodka on the weekends!
As for snacks, Frigo CheeseHeads get all smiles from Summer. Perfect for on the go. Summer LOVES cheese sticks. Don’t think a day goes by that she doesn’t eat one so these were especially great for her.
I thought mayo made with olive oil was the best invention ever, but the Primal Kitchen Mayo with Avocado Oil will have me ditching my old mayo bottles. This was a favorite of mine at the ShopRite LPGA Classic. Made with avocado oil and cage free eggs it has a whipped texture and no artificial flavors. They served this in an elote corn salad and it was bursting with flavor. Great healthy alternative to regular mayo!
But if there was one thing we tried this past weekend that Erik, Summer and I all equally went nuts over it was by far these Valsoia Dairy Free Gelato ice cream sandwiches. Great alternative to ordinary lactose free ice cream and is made with plant based milks in an Italian factory. Clearly my Italian gang is a fan of this dessert. Perfect guilt free snack to have at night when you are craving ice cream.
Would you believe that in between all that golfing and eating that I actually found time for a little TLC?! With a basket of so many favorite beauty brands with new product launches it was kinda hard not to self pamper. Definitely some old favs in here like Crest 3D Whitestrips and Olay Gillette Venus shaving products. BUT I was super excited to try the new Pantene Nutrient Blends Shampoo & Conditioner. Both are sulfate free and smell just like roses. Olay also has a Collagen Peptide Cleanser and Regenerist Rentinol24 Max Night Hydrating moisturizer that work together so nicely.
It wasn’t just a golf tournament. It wasn’t just about a weekend trying out new brands. There was so much more behind this weekend. It was a family event and about spending time with loved ones. Connecting with fellow influencers and of course deepening my relationship with a brand that is so dear to my heart. It’s opportunities like this that make what I do for a living so much more meaningful.
Grateful for the our time at the ShopRite LPGA Classic and grateful I could share it with my family. They see the behind the scenes of what I do from day to day but to really have them experience it was what was so special. And yeah — pretty cool that we got to watch great golf, play some ourselves and eat great food. Who knows. Maybe one day we will be watching Summer play at the ShopRite LPGA Classic. Sky’s the limit. All in all I’d say this weekend was a hole in one. Cheesy I know but really there’s no other expression that could sum it up better.
**Thank you to ShopRite for sponsoring this weekend. As always, all statements and opinions are my own.
