Currently wiping the dust off this blog. Been almost 2 months since I hit publish which is SO not like me. It’s not due to laziness. It’s actually the complete opposite. House of Leo is growing and it’s actually getting to a point that I can’t continue running it on my own anymore. It’s time (it’s actually been time fow awhile) that I start building a team so that I can get all the things done and continue to expand my brand. Last week I hit a MILESTONE goal and went to Dallas for the 2024 LTK Conference. Going to share what I wore to LTKCon and a recap because it of course was all about the journey to get here and the fashion!
SHOP HERE | PANTS (small) | BUTTON DOWN (xs) | SNEAKERS (size down)
What I wore to LTKCon: For this daytime look I wanted a streetwear mens style look. These Amazon pants were perfection and petite friendly.
For those that don’t want know what LTK is – it’s the platform I use to monetize every item I share for you. Basically when you click a link I share I get a small commission from any of the brands through LTK. Pretty sure it is now one of the largest ecommerce site outs there with 40M users who who the LTK app to shop. If you are a content creator then the odds are pretty likely you’ll eventually apply to LTK and once accepted you’ll be able to share all your outfits, home decor etc with your followers.
SHOP HERE | CORSET (XS) | SKIRT (SMALL) | BELT | HEELS (SIZE UP)
What I wore to LTKCon: This was my take on frosted glam for one of the cocktail parties. All Amazon and no one could believe it!
I was accepted back in 2017 when LTK was better known as RewardStyle/LiketoKnowit. I am one of those dinosaur content creators who started with all photos and eventually had to transition to video. Anyway, when I got accepted I made it a goal to make it to LTK conference. It’s invite only based on their top content creators so it’s a big deal to be asked as there are thousands of creators on LTK. Every year for 7 years I would hope for an invite but it never happened. Sure it ate at me (ate at me deeply) but I just kept working towards it. LTK isn’t my only stream of income so it wasn’t a make it or break it sitution with my business. Over the past 7 years I’ve had too many opportunities to count, built solid repeat brand partnerships and have created multiple streams of revenue from multiple channels. I never ever had all my eggs in 1 basket. Never did, never will.
While all that building was happening I was setting goals. Make a certain amount each year. Land certain partnerships. Hit 100K on Instagram. I was able to check off all those boxes. But the 1 goal that still lingered over me was making it to LTKCon. I said last year that I was going to make my LTK stronger and little by little I did so. When I found I out I was 1 of 350 creators to make the LTKCon (out of thousands of creators) I actually thought I’d be more emotional, but I actually just felt accomplished and knew deep down I DESERVED it. I’ve been at this for over 7 years. Never wavered, never slowed down. I just kept growing, pushing and trying to better myself.
SHOP HERE | TEE (SMALL) | SKIRT (SIMILAR) | BELT | SHOES (SIZE DOWN)
What I wore to LTKCon: One of my favorite old skirts in my closet! I was going for a casual boho yet girly look here. Paired the skirt with the killer Amazon tee with a high low hem.
Sure I had anxiety over going. A 3 day conference with other content creators was a lot to digest especially for this naturally introverted girl. While I may seem outgoing on screen I really am reserved and do better in small groups. I definitely had to step out of my comfort zone for this trip. At times I was alone and that can always be awkward, but then there were other content creators there who I’ve known online for years and finally got to see in person. The ones who really know me understood exactly who I am and I was grateful for that. From what I wore to LTK, to the conversations I had – I stayed true to myself.
SHOP HERE | BODYSUIT (SMALL) | SKIRT (0) | BELT (XS) | SHOES (TTS) similar here and here
What I wore to LTKCon: Creator check in outfit was laid back casual. Love this Target denim skirt and these great lace bodysuits from Amazon.
After having gone to the conference I actually have no regrets that I didn’t get to go sooner. I actually feel like the timing was spot on for me. I got to hear from other content creators with over 1M followers speak about the industry of ecommerce and content creation. Hearing their same struggles of having to shift from photos to video. I was able to get a clearer vision of where I want to see HOLB grow and expand. Because here’s the thing – I am not a new content creator. HOLB is already established, thriving and growing. Now I am ready to take it to the next level. I have a plan in place after all I learned from the conference. And that is SO EXCITING!
SHOP HERE | BODYSUIT (SMALL) | SKIRT (SMALL) | HEELS (SIZE UP)
What I wore to LTKCon: Most girls wore gowns for the final night which was the Red Carpet event but I just feel more me in a tulle skirt. This one sparkled and would be so fun for the holidays too.
From the photos you can probably tell the conference was over the top! I would imagine this was on the same level as a conference that Google would hold. LTK branded everything everywhere we went. The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders opened the event. And the red carpet event was equivalent to the Grammy’s. Just so much WOW packed into 3 days. I definitely had some pinch me moments while I was there, but honestly I kept thinking to myself, “You go Tammy!” I started from nothing. No one helped me. Some goals I achieved quickly and other goals took me years to check off. BUT I DID IT! Erik I always joke and say, “So how’s your little business going?” The answer? Pretty darn good and only getting better.
SHOP HERE | SEQUIN SKIRT (SMALL) | BUTTON DOWN (SMALL) | HEELS (TTS) | NECKLACE (SIMILAR)
What I wore to LTKCon: Love this skirt! Quiet elegance was the theme for the 1st cocktail party. I wanted something that looked timeless but was flashy. Thought this came together so nicely.
I never ever could’ve gotten here without the person reading this post. Whether you are one of my OG blog readers who has been waiting for 2 months for me to publish another blog post (sorry!) or whether you follow me on IG, TikTok or FB – THANK YOU! This doesn’t work without you. Yes, I create the content but it takes you all believing and trusting in what I share that has gotten me this far. From the early days of when I really had no idea what I was doing, from the days to executing what I learned to now – we have gone through so much together. But guess what? We are only just getting started!
Hope you enjoyed seeing what I wore to LTKCon. Actually was going to focus more on the outfits but the story of getting here really took over. When planning what to wear I really just wanted to be me. Comfy, a little boho and a mix of highs and lows. And no! I didn’t buy everything new. A few pieces were old closet favorites. AND a lot was Amazon. “Never let the outfit be the star of the show. It’s who is wearing the outfit that should shine!” – Tammy Leopaldi xo
Great job, Tammy! Love seeing your posts on FB and Instagram and sharing your journey.
Thanks so much Reva! 🩷🩷
